Covid-19

Coffee Tipsy Beauty and Massage is taking all required precautions to protect you and the business from coronovirus. You may be asked prior to your appointment if you have/or have had coronavirus symptoms and other questions. On arrival you will be required to fill out a form answering similar questions again and signing your name. It is the client’s responsibility to be honest with Coffee Tipsy Beauty and Massage and let them know if they have been in contact with covid-19, if their workplace has had outbreaks, or if other people that they are living with have/or were experiencing symptoms.

You may wear a face covering if you wish, but this is optional. Coffeen Tipsy will wear a face covering for face to face treatments and whenever you’d like her to wear one.  

Discount Codes

Your email subscription code is redeemable for 3 months from the day of subscription. Your code can only be used once. and needs to be used in full as no change given. You can use this code on any beauty and massage treatments or retail items at Coffee Tipsy Beauty. Can be used on as many treatments or retail items as you like as long as you have them all at the same time. The discount code can only be used once and in the above ways stated in this paragraph. It is your responsibility to keep note of when the code expires and to make the booking within time. Non-transferrable and no cash alternative.

Appropriate Behaviour Policy

Before reading my other policies please bear in mind that Coffee Tipsy has the right to refuse any treatment without explanation. This has been put in place to protect the business and myself. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and will be reported. If I experience behaviour of this manner I will NOT continue the treatment and you will NOT be booked in the future. If you have already paid or part paid for your treatment and I’ve asked you to leave, you will NOT be entitled to a refund.

Contraindications:

At your first treatment you will fill out a form and be asked to re-evaluate this form for changes at every treatment you have with me. This is to check that you are healthy enough to have the treatment.

A contraindication is a health reason that may NOT allow me to continue with treatment. Depending on the contraindication I may be able to offer an alternative treatment or re book for another time. On occasion the contraindication may involve getting your GP’s consent , when you have proof of this consent we can re book you for the future. On some occasions you may not be able to have the treatment at all and I will use my professional training to explain why.

Accessibility:

My salon is on the First Floor and there are only stairs to access it. So if you are unable to walk upstairs then unfortunately I cannot accommodate you in the salon, however I may be able to accommodate you with a mobile treatment in the comfort of your own home. Mobile treatment availiabilty is limited.

Minor’s Policy

I can treat 12 -16 year olds as long as the parent is present throughout the entire treatment.

Pregnancy Policy

I am happy to treat you if the treatment you would like is appropriate. Most treatments are safe to have during your 2nd and 3rd trimesters and we can discuss suitability prior to booking your treatment. 

Cancellations, amendments and no-shows:

In short:

Cancellation within 36 hours – 100% of treatment cost

Reschedule within 36 hours – 50% of treatment cost (reschedule needs to be within a month of initial appointment or 100% charge)

No-Show – 100% charge of treatment cost

Cancellations happen and here at Coffee Tipsy. We like to be understanding that life can get in the way sometimes. Please take some time to read this cancellation policy when booking a treatment:

If for whatever reason you need to cancel then please make your best efforts to notify us at least 36 hours prior to your treatment, unless we have stated that more notice is needed, this can apply to treatment packages and double treatment days. A valid reason would be appreciated but don’t worry if it is a personal matter. 

If you have to cancel with or without a valid reason within 36 hours of your treatment time, then we will have to charge you 100% of the treatment value, (unless a deposit has been taken) this is to cover time lost, rent and the space that could have been given to another client. This will need to be paid on the day of cancellation/no-show via a paypal or by bank transfer.

If we have to cancel for whatever reason and you are understanding we will rebook you as soon as possible and give you 10% off of your treatment to say thank you for your patience and accepting our apology.

We see this is a fair trade and hope nobody ever has to cancel because it’s not fun for either parties. 

If amending the treatment, e.g you are booked in for an eyebrow wax and gel pedicure and decide within 36 hours of your treatment time that you don’t want one of those treatments anymore. We will also have to charge for the unwanted treatments value unless the treatment has been changed to another of similar value.

If you are a no-show, I understand that awful situations can arise. So it can depend what the reason for this is. However, we may charge 100% of the treatment value.

We sincerely hope we never have to use this policy, however this business is our full-time income so in order to fund ourselves, we need to enforce such a policy. We thank you for your understanding.  

Cancellations for pamper parties and nail parties:

If you have booked a party, paid your deposits and need to cancel within 2 weeks of the booking, your deposit will NOT be refunded. This is because the parties take up a vast amount of booking space and these spaces are limited. Parties need to be booked in advance to ensure the customer gets their desired date. Please be mindful that other customers may be requesting the same dates as you, so if you aren’t completely committed, please give more than 2 weeks notice to cancel.

Lateness:

If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment in the salon then we may not be able to carry out your treatment that day. We will try and reschedule for the next best time for you but please understand, if you are late then we may not be able to accomodate you due to other bookings.

If you are late and I am unable to complete your booking on that day then I will need to charge 50% of the treatment value to cover time and revenue lost.

If you find yourself running late on the day of your treatment, then please let us know as soon as possible. The treatments are booked so there’s enough time for you to enjoy your treatments without rushing in and out and lateness can affect this and therefore the experience itself. At busy times we may not be able to carry out your treatment and will reschedule for as soon as is suitable plus charge 50% of that days treatment value that you were too late for. We will try our best to keep your appointment to the same time and space, dependent on the level of lateness/unforeseen circumstances so neither parties lose out.

Deposits:

We take deposits for some bookings and pamper parties, this secures the appointment time for you.

During the busy time of November and December I will be taking £5 per every hour of approximate treatment time. E.g if you are having gel extensions, this is a 2 hours treatment so we would take a £10 deposit. This deposit is transferable ONCE, but if cancelling twice you will lose this deposit and have to pay again to secure a treatment space. If cancelling within 24 hours notice then you will lose your deposit.

When you have booked an appointment with us, we will send you payment information to pay via bank transfer or Paypal by text/email or we can agree another form of payment. As soon as we have received the deposit we will send you a confirmation. Please pay deposits promptly (witihin 3 hours) or you may lose your appointment space.

Your deposit is non-refundable but transferable once, should you need to cancel for whatever reason. If you need to cancel twice in a row you will lose your deposit and need to put down a new deposit if you want to book again.

Loyalty Scheme

Coffee Tipsy operates a loyalty scheme for regular clients who book in for massage, gel nails and some waxing treatments*. The loyalty scheme gives the client a discount when they rebook within a certain time frame at the end of their appointment. The time frames to get the discount are as follows:

For massage treatments – discount applied when the client rebooks within 4 weeks

For gel nails and extensions – discount applied when the client rebooks within 3 weeks

For body waxing treatments (*includes legs, underarms, arms) – discount applied when the client rebooks within 5 weeks

If rebooking outside of the above time frame the discount will not be applied. If the rebooking is cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment going ahead the discount will be forefit and not reapplied when rescheduled.
